For pet stains and odours RTS will recommend enzyme based detergent or Oxyscrub if the stain is fresh.

By using RTS’s Pile Driver low foam solvent free detergent you will ensure that carpet will not have residue. Most carpet cleaning products are highly alkaline detergents, which leave a tacky soil, which attracts residue on newly cleaned carpets. These high alkaline detergents also remove some and sometimes all of the stain resistance built in to the carpet by the manufacturer. Pile Driver will not strip your carpeting of the protective coating. Please note, that Pile Driver new-tech formula will not create foam in your return tank, allowing for time saving operation.

For heavy traffic areas use RTS’s TLC. TLC Traffic Lane Cleaner is a 100% synthetic detergent, which was developed to compliment the Low VOC requirement of today's environmental safety aware facilities. When used as directed, TLC will thoroughly, emulsify remove and suspend soil and grease from all types of carpeting (wool should be spot tested). TLC does not contain VOC producing solvents. TLC can be used for bonnet shampooing.

Over saturating the carpet can cause water to soak through and damage the floor underneath.
